Avionics/Electrical Technicians
Basler Turbo Conversions takes the legendary DC-3 and puts it through the industry's most extensive remanufacturing process. Built into each airframe is the sum of our knowledge and our proprietary processes, along with state-of-the-art components, world-class Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-67R engines and Hartzell propellers. The BT-67 modernization includes a complete airframe overhaul, aerodynamic improvements, structural modifications that increase strength and improve performance, and new systems that improve reliability.
We are seeking a highly motivated, detail oriented Avionics/Electrical Technicians. As an Avionics/Electrical Technician you will assist in the conversion process of a C-47 to a twin turbo prop aircraft also called a BT-67. The Avionics side of the shop will generate a drawing package for the aircraft and amend it to the specific aircraft build. The Avionics side will install, configure, and test installed systems. The Electrical shop will build the aircraft to the STC. Install and perform operational checks of the aircraft electrical system. The Avionics/Electrical shop also prebuilds electrical harnesses and electrical components for use on future conversions.
We also maintain our own personal fleet of aircraft.

Skills and Experience Required:
- A minimum of 3+ years of avionics or aircraft electrical experience is preferred on part 23 and part 25 aircraft.
- Background in avionics and electrical installation.
- Knowledge of any of the following manufacture equipment is a plus: ARTEX, Flightcell, BlueSky, Midcontinent Instruments, Garmin, Honeywell, Rockwell Collins, L3, Sandel, NAT, Shadin, Universal Avionics, and PS Engineering.
- Must own basic tool set.
- Must be able to interpret and understand electrical wiring diagrams.
- Must be familiar with HF, VHF,UHF, and sat phone communication systems.
- Must be familiar with GPS, and VHF navigation systems
- Must be willing to work flexible hours to accommodate aircraft delivery schedules.
- Must be able to lift at least 35 lbs.
- Must be familiar with electrical theory.
- Must be familiar with soldering.
- An A&P license is desired but not required.
- A FCC GROL license is desired but not required. A FCC GROL license should be acquired within the first year of employment.
Physical Abilities:
This position requires you to perform a variety of physical activities such as:
- Accessing elevated areas of aircraft for maintenance and servicing which may require the use of ladders, high lift trucks, boom lifts and other lifting devices
- Climbing, standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, sitting, working overhead, extensive walking, working in tight/confined spaces and lifting up to 50 pounds
- Handling hazardous material in performance of assigned duties
- Be able to use Personal Protective Equipment (e.g., respirators, safety glasses, safety shoes, etc.)
